Code of Ethics for Filipino Registered Nurses

The Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses was promulgated by the Philippine Regulatory Board of Nursing in consultation and coordination with the Philippine Nurses Association, with the Code of Good Governance for the Professions in the Philippines as primary basis, as mandated by Article III, Section 9, Subsection (f) of Republic Act 9173 to serve as ethico-legal basis in the practice of the nursing profession in the Philippines.

Sec. 9. Powers and Duties of the Board. - The Board shall supervise and regulate the practice of the nursing profession and shall have the following powers, duties and functions:

(f) Promulgate a Code of Ethics in coordination and consultation with the accredited professional organization of nurses within one year from the effectivity of this Act;

Every filipino nurse has an ethical and legal responsibility to be familiar with the salient features of the Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses. Ignorance of such can lead one to lose his or her hard-earned license to practice nursing.

Sec. 23. Revocation and suspension of Certificate of Registration/Professional License and Cancellation of Special/Temporary Permit. - The Board shall have the power to revoke or suspend the certificate of registration/professional license or cancel the special/temporary permit of a nurse upon any of the following grounds:

(b) For unprofessional and unethical conduct;

(f) For violation of this Act, the rules and regulations, Code of Ethics for nurses and technical standards for nursing practice, policies of the Board and the Commission, or the conditions and limitations for the issuance of the temporarily/special permit;

Last's month Nurse's licensure examination was known to be leaked. So what shall we do? Do we need to annul the essence of its result to those who passed whether or not the examinees received such leakage.I believe justice is best exercised on this very matter if only those concerned; from the ones who gave to the ones who gained it. It is for the fact that we passers who made it without fraud,with much supplications and opportunely were answered have to prove that God's will for us needs to be realized without contempt and condemnation. Those who didn't make it, I know that you know and God knows what you are ought to. If not on matters of irregularities I do not know if what will most people say about former passers of the exam about the quality of graduates today, with only 42% as national percenatage of the year.it must be denying that behind the known leaked, why it didn't work -out to those who had it. Finally in obtaining proofs and thorough investigations let not at the end, for whatever you will find will result to inconclusive judgment spoiling and trying to foist all examinees as leakers, therefore, for justice to prevail make it to those only involved on this illegality. Thank you .... Jowdic Malcxs

I DIDN'T PASS, BUT I'M PROUD!AND I'M FROM FEU.

about the ethics kahit ano mangyari hinding hindi ko gagaguhin ang papel ng mga filipino nurses, (sorry for the term) para sa akin kasi panggagago ang ginagawang pandaraya sa karunungan, i've learned through experience, why do i have to cheat if i never know how to prove my deeds,
damn hindi man ako maging successful nurse atleast a successful man with dignity and conscience,
