The result of the June 2006 Nurse Licensure Examination is expected to be released first week of July to major news outlets.

Rumors of a leakage in the nursing exam has spread like wildfire in recent weeks causing examinees to worry.
The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) has issued a formal statement dispeling the veracity of the rumor.
In a statement sent to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the PRC said that “after an initial investigation by the Board of Nursing, the BON concluded there was no apparent leakage.”
“Unless hard evidence is found, the system is nearly fool-proof. With the actual test questions extracted by computer from a database of questions, even the examiners do not know beforehand which of their questions will be asked in the examinations. The test questions are printed inside a quarantined area with security provided by police and the National Bureau of Investigation,” the PRC said.
The PRC said that contrary to rumors, it had not cancelled the exams but was now checking the results which are expected to be released next month.

Two times akong nagreview sa Gapuz Center..nagkaroon kaming Intensive & closed-door final coaching before the exams..until the days of the exams wala kaming natanggap na sinasabi nilang leakage. Ang guilty, at ang malicious ay yung mga taong INSECURE - Those accusing that there were leakage sa exams natin. I believe we have honest BON. PRAY NA LANG!!!
Whether there's a leakage or not, the PRC should be castigated for making students wait this long for the exam results. We live in the freakin' computer age and we still can't have immediate results for an exam? That's why the PRC should make board exams computerized, like in the Civil Service exams, so that we get instant results. They should not psychologically torture students by making them wait an unreasonable time before learning if they passed or not. The PRC sucks big time!

Come on, let's all admit it. Gapuz has been pulling our legs all this time. They keep claiming of 98% passing rate but I can guarantee that this is NOT TRUE! I know someone who works for Gapuz and she admits it! I wonder how much they paid the Board of Nursing just to nake the PRC go hushhush about the leakage issue... Furthermore, to avoid more possibilities of corruption, the PRC should push for TOTAL COMPUTERIZATION of examinations. This will eradicate leakages from these exams. Don't you all agree???

ang mga taga pentagon ay hindi insecure noh, siguro taga GAPUZ ka kaya ka ganyan magsalita..... matakot ka na dahil lahat ng GAPUZ ang reveu center ay separated na ang pagcheck, malamang mababa ang percentage nya para hindi halata....hala lagot ka kahit na pasado ka baka ibagsak ka dahil nilagay mo na reveu center ay mandaraya....laguuuut ka.

Sobrang tagal naman ilabas ng result ng NLE! If you'll go to PRC in morayta to ask when will the results be released the guards won't let you in and instead they are the one who will answer your questions. At first they said that it will be out after 2 weeks, then last week of June, and now its already July and yet no result was given. Akala ko ba scantron paper ang ginagamit ng PRC, e sobrang bilis lang mag-check dun e. Feed ka lang ng feed ng paper tapos may score na. Baka naman props lang ang pagkakaroon ng technological improvement, pero mano-mano parin ang pagchecheck. Sayang naman ang budget ng government kasi mahal ang scantron papers, tapos wala naman pala scantron machine! Pati yun website ng PRC ang hirap na idownload, nagcollapse na ata. Yun nga txt messaging for comments na nakalagay sa likod ng NOA di rin gumagana. Kaya tuloy may doubt ako kung pwede talagang malaman na pumasa through texting. Wag na kasi magpanggap na may advancement kung mapapahiya lang. Magparamdam naman kayo para hindi mahalata kung meron man anomalyang nangyayari jan sa loob!
Baka naman may machine talaga na kayang magcheck ng mabilis. Ang kaso kasi wala pa ako nababalitaan kung meron bang machine na kayang mag-doktor ng mabilis din. Ay sorry po... hehe...
i know d agony of evry examinee who's waiting for d result,pinagdaanan rin namin yan coz year 90's we used to wait 6 months for d result..so just takeit easy..hwag ng mag away away...pray na lang kyo...coz nangyari na yang gossip na yan wala na kyong magawa...ang damage nasa review center n BON...kayo(examinees) nga lang kawawa ano.anyway good luck to everyone.

o nga nman di bale kung cgurado na meron leakage o wala, dapat seryosohin natin 2 napili natin na profession.. kc di biro ang magtrabaho na di sapat ang kaalaman, picture ur family under the care of a nurse na incompitent.. kmi nga khit tapos na, nag aaral pa rin kmi kc kelangan talaga maging magaling. pinagaralan at pinaghirapan ntin 2 dba. sana naman ok ang results. wag nalng tau magcoment sa ibang tao kc pareho naman kau naghihintay. pray nlng tau, di naman ninu kasalanan un and di nu un ginusto.God bless..
can u post the exact date n time of the nle results.. taas na po ang anxiety namin. cge na po. post nu po sa forum na 2..hope na walang gagawa ng biro about the exams kc dis shud b taken seriusly...
hindi tanga ang mga tao sa PRC at BON kundi MAGTATANGA-TANGAHAN na lang. the best way to counter all of these scams and scandals is to organize ourselves and condemn the act so that the culprits will be punished. if indeed GAPUZ, PRC & BON are guilty, sila ang bulok na napapahalo at nandadamay sa mga nurses na matitino at may dignidad.

well, lets just all hope that the truth will prevail.. I believe in the power of the one who knows what we had gone through. i cannot guarantee a leakage out from the review materials coming form the different review centers... All i can say is that.. don't you all think that this is part of the regulatory process that the philippine government must go through to regulate the production of nurses in the philippines? we all must accept the fact that we are producing nursing graduates like sprouts.. does anyone of you remember a quote 'the board exam was easy as you think, but it was not made for you to pass. It was made for you to fail!' try to analyze everything that was going on.. can you admit to yourself that anorexia nervosa is binge eating? that the first vaccine was hepavac rather than BCG? that you are 90% protected when had measle vaccine rather than 80%? that was on the book.. you know that for sure.. and would get vitamins from food instead of nutrients? well, these were just few of the creepy answers i got when trying to compare answers with some of my collegues from different review centers.. know what.. i am just so frustrated with this.. I just hope the BON don't really want to produce damn nurses.. I'm pretty sure of myself that i had studied well of that four years in nursing.. If these answers will be accepted by the BON,, well, i think i shouldn't have gone that long to school.. I guess it would be much proper to just go for the exam and guess the answers.. besides.. hindi na makatarungan na mag aral ka ng mabuti kung alam mong mali ang sagot na pipiliin.. I hope everyone who took the exams really did used their head and did not rely on the 'leakage' as being said.. thanks..

Gapuz reviewees are not guilty of that leakage issue. so stop making comments about RAGRC...sir Ray is just resourceful enough to provide us some possible questions that might come out on the exam. and thats all based on the day by day research he made. Don't you think you are the one whose being unfair judging RA Gapuz review center?? well if you want to know the truth then why not enrol at RAGRC? so that you will prove to yourself that there was no leakage at all...it was just the product of hardwork and resourcefulness of sir ray...and i believe in his integrity as a whole.God bless us all...

well if you'll ask examinees from baguio, there really is a leakage. we cannot deny that. maliit lang ang baguio para hindi mo malaman ang mga nangyayari. they are claiming that it is just an ordinary "emergency review materials" and that mr ray gapuz is just that "resourceful!" shame on you!!! you know the fact that the supposedly emergency mats that were given to you are not just really emergency mats!! the characters used and situations given in the actual board and those written in your emergency mats are the same for Christs sake!!! where the hell did your conscience go???? but I believe that it is not your fault coz you are just craving for your lisence and everyone would want that if were given a chance. pero dapat this has to end through a separate or independent body that would investigate. it should not be the BON or PRC that would investigate coz they are the one who are supposedly be investigated. walang leak kung hindi papayagan ng BON or PRC. sa akin lang ha...MALAMANG PRC ANG MAY GAWA NYAN KASI KUNG BON YAN, MATAGAL NG LUMABAS ANG LEAKAGE AT HINDI LANG THE NIGHT BEFORE NG EXAM!!!!

Can't believe you guys consider yourselves professionals. What with all the name callings and speculations and stuffs. I am just doing just friends in PI a favor on looking up the result of the exam and imagine my surpise (or shock) to read some of your comments. If there was indeed a leakage, all of you guys are indeed victims. As a nurse who grew up in the Philippines but educated in the US, You shouldn't allow your emotions to take over and point fingers if you are not really sure and have no solid evidence that the leakage did happen. If I was at the Gapuz Center and in my heart I know there was no leakage, I owe nobody an explanation, if indeed my conscies is clear. It is too bad, as difficult as it is, more than anybody you should show the workd how a true professional should act, Your words go a long way.

oo nga nmn. ang pnakamagandang mgagawa nio ay ang maghintay nlng at umasa na sna hindi mabalewla ang exams at hindi nio na kailangan na magtake uli ng board exam dahil lng sa leakage issue na yan. anyway, kng 220 man na may leakage, bkit kailangan ng iba jan na maguilty kung wla nmn cla dpat ikaguilty dba? and besides, meron namn karma. un na lng ang isipin ninyo. pray nlng ok guys!
sa totoo lang im not a gapuz reviewee nagkataon lang na nakabili ako ng book nila na orange.madali lang intindihin at halos marami ang lumabas doon sa june 2006 exam.kung may leakage man sana kung may ibedinsya ipakita na.likewise june 2004 nle questions marami din lumabas lalo na yung needle na gnagamit sa pagtransfused.pareho talaga ang question dont tell me leakage na din yun.basta pray na lang tayo na masolve na ang problem na to.I tell you madali lang ang exam sa june 2006 compare last dec.2005 which I failed a rating of 74.30%

cool lang kayo mga RN to be. like you im also waiting for the result of your exam not for me but for my sister who also took the NLE last June. There maybe a leakage???? otherwise there will be no investigation nor delay in the result. but still, we are all blind about the real score here. whatever the outcome you just trust in yourself. if you believe that you deserve to pass good for you. but if you fail, there's always a second time. everything has it's time. PATIENCE is a VIRTUE.

If there's a truth in the leakage issue last June NLE 2006, I think Gapuz and the present BON should really be investigated. otherwise the credibility of Filipino Nurses abroad will be degraded and the stain that it will give to the face of all filipino nurses around the world would surely give an impression that Filipino Nurses are good and yet, cheaters.Im a RN and surely don't want that to happen. So if there's a way to clear this, the BON or the PRC should speak out and tell the truth.Shutting down the PRC web site would only create more suspicious act. COME OUT IN THE OPEN. Release the result......NOW
As a registered nurse in the US who is involved with orienting new grads from the Philippines, I am deeply bothered not only by the leakage issue but by the way some of you conduct yourselves on dealing with the issue. Granted the leakage is true, you are all adults and professionals who should be able to deal with the issue in a civil way. I would hate to work with anybody who would resort to using dirty words when frustrated. Yes it is frustrating, yes it is unfair, yes it is discouraging but take this as a test of how much you can endure especially when working with a difficult patient, dealing with their families, working side by side with demanding doctors. Whatever happened to any of those positive coping mechanisms we all learned at school? You are letting your anger and frustrations take over. Venting it out doesn't mean cursing and blaming others. What about those involved if there is a leakage? Do you think we would not know if somebody is incompetent? Passing the exam the first time does not guarantee one's success in this chosen field. I love working with our kababayans esp the new grads but this is making a mockery out of our system and a lot of you are not helping it. Our hospital is having second thoughts recruiting nurses in PI. The real issue is not wether the system has failed you but youn guys are failing the system. It is all a matter if INTEGRITY for those involved and a matter of MATURITY for those who are not.
Imagine youn have a patient who is awaiting lab results to find out wether he is going to die or has a chance to live. Do you think the results would be expedited if he starts cursing at the technician? Do you think the results would be any different because he cursed? Now, allow me to take it a step further. If the technician thinks the specimen might have been tampered,and the result is compromised, do you think he would release the result anyway just because the patien is screaming, dying to find out if he is going to live or die plus there is a question on the integrity of the test. Remember, the treatment he will get would depend on the result of his test. THINK!
The above example was mine. I am a US based Filipino nurse who trains and works with a lot of our kababayans especially new grads. Let us exercise some level of maturity here. Passing the test the first time does not guarantee one's success in the nursing field. This is a question of INTEGITY.Competency csn be learned and honed but if the person's integrity is questionable it rubs off in the other ares of the nursing field. How could I be sure the right medications and tests to the patient are given in a rush to get the desired result? I'd rather have the trainee recompute and redo the same tests to get an accurate result. On the other hand, I rather have trainees who are able to cope with their own anxiety in the most positive way without cursing and blaming everybody. Afterall, when you guys are on your own, bottom line is you know you did the best you could, the system may fail you but you will not fail the system.
please release the results, by the time the prc releases it marami nang nasiraan ng ulo. wala akong kinakampihan kasi sure ako nag-review ako ng mabuti pero what intimidates me is the fact that they're prolonging the agony. some of the comments posted here are true. ilabas nyo na ang results so that we can proceed with our plans. some of those waiting have a timetable already at gulong ito ang sumisira sa mga plano. we are begging if that's what you want. please do something about this its been 3 weeks. we just want a decision that is fair to everybody. sana imbis na mag-away2x tayo maga future nurses, mag-tulungan nalang tayo kasi tayo rin ang kawawa. we studied for 3-4 years tapos ganito lang ang mangyayari. let's pray that the prc and bon will be enlightened and ma-realize nila na there are people who are suffering. god bless to all of us.

WE, members of the nursing profession, express our concern over the reported leakage in the June 2006 nurses’ board examination questions. It was reported that “the leakages could not have been perpetrated without the active participation or negligence [of any or all the] members” of the Board of Nursing. (Inquirer, 6/23/06)
We believe that the members of the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing (BON) should be models of utmost integrity in administering licensure examinations for nurses; therefore, they should discharge their duties honestly and faithfully.
We urge the PRC to immediately create an independent body to conduct a swift, impartial and public investigation of the reported leakage.
We also urge the PRC to withhold the release of the results of the board examination pending this investigation.
We collectively uphold the principles of academic excellence, integrity, professional responsibility and service to the people.
We call on the PRC and the Commission on Higher Education, which are legally mandated to oversee and regulate nursing education in the country, to strictly implement the provisions of the Nursing Law on standards for nursing education. We strongly believe that this incident is but a manifestation of the country’s deteriorating, highly commercialized nursing education -- the result of the proliferation of nursing schools and review centers.
We consider this a matter of prime urgency, and we hope that due process will be observed here; and, if warranted, the necessary cases filed against all those who are directly involved in this irregularity.
We commit ourselves to the quest for truth and we will pursue this case to the end in the name of justice and safe nursing practice.

I am a newly registered nurse. I have been reading the comments left here by those who are hoping to BECOME registered nurses...and I am quite shocked, to say the least. This country does not need nurses who cuss under pressure, who point accusatory fingers to each other during the times that something does go wrong. We have to bear in mind that nursing is a profession and since you guys are hoping to become nurse-professionals, I feel that you should also act accordingly. That is to say, the proper approach to the predicaments you are all going through would be to bear in mind that a professional nurse would and should never crumble under pressure because the lives of our patients are in our hands. Applied to this situation, this would tell us that this leakage rumors should be approached, yes, seriously but by the RIGHT people. In this case, the BON and the PRC would do the job. As a nurse who is PRIVILEGED to be able to practice the profession, I feel that all these accusatory tones towards the BON members are baseless. I feel in my heart that the BON, being very well aware of the SPROUTING of nursing schools and students, have felt that the quality of nursing education has somewhat, if not entirely declined. And as to this fact, they will thus make it their mission to be able to pick out the cream of the crop. Ever noticed that only 49%-53% of exam takers pass? If indeed there was a leakage, this would be evident in the upcoming results. And if it will be found out that there was, in fact, a leakage then I would be sad for this country and I would be extremely sad for the nursing profession. However, as fresh graduates still hoping to become professional nurses, I feel that you guys should NOT approach this situation by pointing accusations at each other but by PRAYING and WAITING for the results about to come with patience and understanding that DESIRED RESULTS are still that...desired but it doesn't always follow that that is the result you will get. So quit the cussing, the blaming and all the sourgraping. NURSES of the future, take it as a professional nurse with take it...professionally and with grace under pressure. My hats off to the nursing graduates of YEAR 2006, you have what it takes to become professional nurses.

Co-nurses to be - I think the best thing for us to do is to PRAY. Lam nyo 1st and foremost it's really impossible na may lumabas na LEAKAGE because sobrang binantayan yan ng NBI just as the same way of making examinations for ECE, Physician, CPA and other Local board exam. And to blame GAPUZ is such an insult kasi sana di ba hindi ako nahirapan sa TEST 3 at hindi umuwi ng tulala (I slept the whole night after that shitty exam). And sana di na lang ako nag-aral dahil may leakage lang palang ibibigay si GAPUZ eh kaso nasaan ba ung lecheng leakage na un eh di ko man lang nahawakan!!! Test 5 is just basic maglalabas pa ba ng leakage dun eh pareparehas lang yang Psychiatric disorders na tinuturo sa mga skuls natin! Come on co-nurses walang leakage na naganap those mendling students are just inggit maybe because di sila nakapagreview or they are just jealous because GAPUZ pips knows how to handle exam pressure a lot!!!

IF EVER..AND IF EVER there is an evidence na talagang may leakage..in this called "life" talagang merong ganyan and if any body from the investigators ( i'm talking to THE BOARD nd PRC) that they may have access to the said leakage and infact the're were the 1s investigating the problem and as a result they will verify that indeed there wre no leakage on the said exam and infact the examinees from bagyO insistently revealed that truly there was a conspiracy on the said exam..WE DONT HAV to curse and blame it to someone else ryt? for me the right way to deal this kind of situation if watever the results comes out, would be "TOO MOVE ON" in each of our lives and focus wat is best for ourselves and for our families aswell.. but for me the investigation MUSTNT hve been in the hands of the alleged group of bodies ( PRC and the board) and if so, another group of QUALIFIED individuals must also have access to the said investigation so that concernd individuals may fully trust the "QUALITY" of the investigation which will be processd and "DUE PROCESS" shall govern the investigation ryT? ALL I CAN SAY RIGHT NOW IS .... HAVE FAITH MY FUTURE RN's FOR still THERE's ALONG WAY AHEAD OF US AND IT is NOT ONLY PASSING THE BOARD EXAm (w/c is truly initially..hehe)that we find contentment and happiness BUT HOW YOU MAKE YOUR LIFE WORTHWHILE LIVING FOR DIBA?=)HOPE AND PRAY NA SANA WE ALL (SURELY IMPOSSIBLE)will may make it but hopefully we all GROW AND MATURE AS WE FACE THIS CHALLENGE in our lives.=) STAND UP FUTURE RN's AND LET's MOVE ON FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD AWAITS US..PROUD TO BE CEBUANO..lUv YA ALL..=)
Of course there is a leakage, or if you prefer not to call it a leakage, then lets put it this way...we were given review questions before the exam, and I say 50% patok!!! Just being honest...I dont know if its leakage, but certainly, kahit pangalan ng tao sa questions yun na yun....

As a registered nurse in the US who is involved with orienting new grads from the Philippines, I am deeply bothered not only by the leakage issue but by the way some of you conduct yourselves on dealing with the issue. Granted the leakage is true, you are all adults and professionals who should be able to deal with the issue in a civil way. I would hate to work with anybody who would resort to using dirty words when frustrated. Yes it is frustrating, yes it is unfair, yes it is discouraging but take this as a test of how much you can endure especially when working with a difficult patient, dealing with their families, working side by side with demanding doctors. Whatever happened to any of those positive coping mechanisms we all learned at school? You are letting your anger and frustrations take over. Venting it out doesn't mean cursing and blaming others. What about those involved if there is a leakage? Do you think we would not know if somebody is incompetent? Passing the exam the first time does not guarantee one's success in this chosen field. I love working with our kababayans esp the new grads but this is making a mockery out of our system and a lot of you are not helping it. Our hospital is having second thoughts recruiting nurses in PI. The real issue is not wether the system has failed you but youn guys are failing the system. It is all a matter if INTEGRITY for those involved and a matter of MATURITY for those who are not.

Imagine youn have a patient who is awaiting lab results to find out wether he is going to die or has a chance to live. Do you think the results would be expedited if he starts cursing at the technician? Do you think the results would be any different because he cursed? Now, allow me to take it a step further. If the technician thinks the specimen might have been tampered,and the result is compromised, do you think he would release the result anyway just because the patien is screaming, dying to find out if he is going to live or die plus there is a question on the integrity of the test. Remember, the treatment he will get would depend on the result of his test. THINK!

The above example was mine. I am a US based Filipino nurse who trains and works with a lot of our kababayans especially new grads. Let us exercise some level of maturity here. Passing the test the first time does not guarantee one's success in the nursing field. This is a question of INTEGITY.Competency csn be learned and honed but if the person's integrity is questionable it rubs off in the other ares of the nursing field. How could I be sure the right medications and tests to the patient are given in a rush to get the desired result? I'd rather have the trainee recompute and redo the same tests to get an accurate result. On the other hand, I rather have trainees who are able to cope with their own anxiety in the most positive way without cursing and blaming everybody. Afterall, when you guys are on your own, bottom line is you know you did the best you could, the system may fail you but you will not fail the system.

it's just painful after long years of studying and all what it had cost, eto tayo damay lahat sa mga selfish motives ng ilang tao! dunno if they're all bobitas and bobitos to rely on leakages if it's true noh ha! gosh hirap magbabad sa computer day and night waiting for some news and results. ATTENTION: BON, prove to us you're not yet too old and kupas to act and decide, this isn't the issue for us alone, di ba ang laki naman ng naipapasok na dollars ng mga nurses sa phils? maybe should u make a graceful exit for your souls and spirits be remembered meaningfully.....
Plain and simple: If the PRC and BON denies a leakage, then what the fuck is causing the delay of the exam results? There is just no excuse for such a delay and people who call for patience and understanding for the PRC are either to naive or blind to see that there is a problem with the PRC's system and that we shouldn't tolerate such crappy service.

When I took the board exam last DECEMBER 4-5, 2005 we had to wait for the results which came out on JANUARY 18, 2006. So have more patience, future nurses. Just PRAY that you will be part and parcel of the 49% sucessful exam takers. Good luck ALL! And please act accordingly if you are hoping to become a professional.
I wonder why people have instill in our minds that we should "just wait" for the exam results and let PRC have it's way on when they should release the results, wehen they assured the examiners that results will be available after two weeks. I think they even mentioned of texting a said number if you want to confirm if you passed or not. Let us not tolerate this backward process or mind set that we should hang around and do nothing. It's an insult for those who took their time studying the Nursing course, who payed the review centers and PRC the big bucks if we let this thing pass. They should be issuing an apology and handing their resignation(s) for forever being late in releasing board exam results. People should understand now what "kaya hindi umaasenso ang bansa natin e..." means.

hehe...never expected this to happen. months before we all graduated, we would already feel the intense anxiety lingering. but it was ok. during the review sessions the anxiety level increased 'till the day of the exams. all of us seemed ready. and we all thought that after these exams...all we had to do was wait. but not this long. now we read lotsa stuff indicating leakages. very frustrating. we can't do anything about this. unless we go out and start our own rally. isn't that how anything get's done here? we can't just rely on blogs (well, i'm here to post an opinion). i just came across this blog when searching for results. *sigh* maybe its better to just laugh at this. there's no sense in trying to develop mental retardation just because of the long wait. good things will happen to those who do good and that invisible hand of justice will lay upon those who don't do right. karma, fate, what have you... our country is just falling. deeper. i guess that's why some people can't do anything but take advantage of waht they have. every man for himself. but amidst all that...i know that we are better individuals. if they can't set a good example, why can't we?

Yeah... you're right, maybe he's very generous and talented as you were saying... but that's not the point... we came here to express our emotions or feelings... but don't let your emotions fool you. Perhaps, he's great ... I've heared a lot of good things 'bout him. But our life was ruined for the past weeks... prolonging agony. But if you think he's very best and intellegent why should he do such terrible act though he's not only one... some of them made it too. Re: allegiations. C'mon, why not investigate on the BON. Of course there is a leakage, Mr. Gapuz is just wise enough to make it seem like there's none. Don't you ever wonder how come every freegin' lecture that comes out of his mouth and his books always appear on the board? Wild guess? Or connections maybe? Not to mention his moolah helps big time.
Investigate on PRC for denying the allegiations and the BON in the first place. How much did Mr. Gapuz had to pay to smoothen the wrinkles? Big time.

justice delayed is justice denied. the prc should bear in mind that by delaying the release of the much awaited result, they are only making more doubts linger in the minds of the people. they should just let it get over and done with and just release the results or at least specify a specific date and adhere to it, thats the most professional thing that they can do, that is if there is professionalism left on their system

Nursing examinees for June 2006,
what legal action have you done to formally ask PRC to release the result of the board exam? Do you have some student leaders or professional representatives negotiating with the PRC people? What's the current stand of PRC? Have you heard any statements from them? Why not file a formal petition to the commission in a diplomatic way? You, guys, spent a lot of money for the exam plus the time & effort you put into it. The delayment of the exam release has a huge psychological impact in your well-being and I am empathizing with you about this chaos. If PRC has plan to conduct a retake exam, you should not spend any extra fees. Please have some kind of coordination with the majority of the examinees and come up with possible resolutions that you may want to bring out to PRC so that they'll have a picture of what you really want. I've been checking the news on a daily basis and PRC is not making any updates as far as specific dates of exam release. This is so sad & frustrating. Any spokeperson from PRC? We want to hear the updates of this mess. Let's not prolong the agony of the examinees. They've been going through a tremendous psychological torture. Help them alleviate this feeling by giving what is due to this test takers. They want to know their test results! P
when prc last addressed the media (which was ages ago) they told us to go to their site. Which of course has been down for ages as well? (PRC employee did not know that their site was not working) that is how it goes. YES THE BEST THING TO DO IS WHEN AND IF EVER THE RESULTS DO COME OUT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND EXPLANATION WHY DID IT TAKE THEM MORE THAN A MONTH TO PROCESS.
to those asking why this should be done:
1) Even if there were 30,000+ examinees each and every examinee paid a fee for them to take the exam. This fee should have been used to make the process easier. NOT FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.
2) PRC and BON should not have been silent about any of the issues may it be the leakage or the results they should have been PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO BE ON THE NEWS AND INFORM EACH AND EVERYONE THAT TOOK THE EXAM AND THEIR FAMILIES WHAT IS HAPPENING. Silence did not help anyone.. specially them.
3) PRC should be taught a lesson. That they cannot be the lords when they are a suppose to be their to help those that seek and PAY for their services.
4) They addressed the issue by letting us go to a site that has not worked ten days after the results WERE suppose to be released. THEY SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED A CONTACT NUMBER. WHY ARE THEY AFRAID TO TALK TO THE PEOPLE THAT TOOK THE EXAM?
ENOUGH SILENCE. ACTION MUST BE DONE. THEY HAVE TO LEARN THE LESSON THAT THEY CANNOT PUSH PPL AROUND.

well thank you for your comment. at least i know how your mind works. to tell you frankly, I am a PARENT, AN ORDINARY PARENT ALSO WAITING FOR THE RESULT! I AM EAGERLY WAITING FOR MY SON'S NURSING EXAM RESULT. AN ORDINARY PARENT WHO PAID FOR MY SON'S TUITION FEES THROUGH MY BLOOD, SWEAT, PRAYERS AND TEARS! With the help of my daughter, who works as a computer analyst, and the sacrifice made by my youngest son, who have to stop in his second year of college, just to let his kuya finish his second course, NURSING. By the way, he finished Bachelor of Science in Biology at the De La Salle University - Dasmariñas. HOWEVER, I ALSO APPRECIATE THE DETERMINATION OF THE COMPLAINANT because through them, the normal norm as what you coined as "LAHAT KAYU CORRUPT AND THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT...IT'S EVERY FILIPINO'S NATURE!!! LAHAT CORRUPT!!!" will be changed. I believe in CHANGE, LAHAT NG BAGAY DITO SA MUNDO AY NAGBABAGO. “Emergency Drill”
Last week, I attended a press conference in the Philippine Nurses Association Cordillera Administrative Region (PNA-CAR) regarding the controversial “leakage” also called the “emergency drill” allegedly passed around to nursing reviewers of the RA Gapuz review center the night before the board examination day. The leakage was said to have contained two hundred (200) items of questions with the right answers out of five hundred (500) overall questions ensuring the beneficiaries a forty (40) percent probability that they would automatically get the correct answers, assuming they really cheated. It was believed that 2,800 copies were distributed and each copy costs two thousand five hundred pesos (P2, 500). The only evidence as of the time being were the copies held from the RA Gapuz reviewers. It was also noted that out of the forty six thousand (46, 000) examinees, six thousand (6,000) of them took the exam in Baguio but these examinees came from different parts of the region.
The press conference was organized by concerned examinees in coordination with the Philippine Nurses Association to shed light about the matter and urge the public and the media to support their “fight for the integrity of the nursing profession.” The association also reported some developments as four hundred twenty five (425) nurses signed the motion for reconsideration in support for the complaint earlier filed by ninety one (91) concerned nursing examinees.
Association of the Deans of the Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) President Grace Lacanaria said that “their involvement in the leakage has something to do with the associations interest in protecting the nursing profession and as a moral responsibility because cheating is something they cannot condone.” Also present in the press conference were Atty. Sheryl Yangot, the legal council representing the nursing examinees, Noreen Dawayen, the President of the PNA, Inc. CAR, Bernon Peralta, the nursing student representative, their colleagues and the press people.
Basing from the press conference and through the investigation of Atty. Yangot, Dean Lacanaria and company, it turns out that the RA Gapuz Review center is just a small fish in the issue and the recipients of the “emergency drill” are just victims of the rampant “culture of cheating” in the Philippines. There was no other way the leakage would have propagated had it not been for the carelessness of the people who prepared the questions themselves. Atty. Yangot and Dean Lacanaria got hold of a copy of the actual questions in the last nursing board exam when supposedly everything was directed to the shredded machine right after the exam. An unknown, concerned person left the former in theHamada building, outside the office of Atty. Yangot, and the latter left to the guard of the Saint Louis University where Dean Lacanaria is teaching. This happened last June 29, 2006, the day before the press conference.
In addition, Atty. Yangot and company also requested the Professional Regulator Commission (PRC) to create an independent fact finding body that will look into the matter, for the PRC to hold the release of the examination’s result, to be strict in implementing the guidelines for the exam and to act with haste about the matter.
I wrote this story because I was reminded that anytime this week it was scheduled by PRC to release the results of last June 2006 nursing board exam. What would happen to the safety of the public assuming there were undeserved students who passed the board exam? How about the tainted reputation of the nursing profession and even the deteriorating integrity of the PRC? And who was to be blamed? Was it the six Board of Nursing (BOR) members purportedly in charge with coping out the guidelines and had it not for their negligence the review material would not have come out? Was it the government to be blamed for the salary standardization program not being able to suffice the needs of the employees that they have to resort to cheating? Were the students corrupted by this culture partly to be blamed?
This is not a mere coincidence. This is not an issue of recklessness and poverty. This is not even about whose to be blamed. This is a long, lost vicious cycle rooted from a bloated bureaucracy and a pre-spanish “culture of corruption through cheating,” After all, was not the President herself guilty of the same misdeed? Nah! I think that’s but another story.

The examinees deserve to know the result of the exam right now. They've waited too long for the result. One single attorney should not jeopardize the release of the result. Address the leakage issue but not to the extent of withholding the result forever. Yangot is not representing the whole populace of examinees.

i totally agree with this person. ilang percent lang ba yong 91 students sa total number of examinees. at stake ang future ng ibang students dahil sa issue na yan. it doesn't mean na we care less about the issue but can we just wait for the results to come out and then we do something about the issue. try to put yourselves in our position, waiting for who knows when. nakakapagod and stressful not only for us but also for our parents who strived hard para pag-aralin kami tapos ganito pa nag mangyayari. it's very unfortunate. it's about time that we move on but how can we? kung ang hinihintay nating results will gove us the idea on what step to do next. it's not plain "being atat about the results" but we want to see the results because we want this misery to end. that's all. we hope that each and everyone would understand our situation

Walang mangyayari sa pilipinas kung sariling kapakanan nyo lang iniisip nyo. Wala na rin kayo pinag-kaiba sa mga naglabas ng leakage na kaya nila ginawa yun para magkapera. Mas inisip nila kung san sila magbebenefit at wala na sila pakialam kung ano ang tama.

It does not take a genious or a mathematecian to confirm who the cheaters are. So, there a leakage as confirmed. Take the scores of the students from those review centers and compare the results of their tests against the general examininees, there has to be a pattern somehow. This is computer age, it would only take a few minutes to do statisitcs and probabilities and what have you. Isolate them, do not punish the whole community. Hello, anybody listening?

May tanong lang ako sa inyong mga Nurses working abroad and/or Nurses to be who will be planning to work abroad -- kung may magtatanong ba sa inyo sa ibang bansa kung ano ang nationality ninyo, ano ang isasagot nyo?

I think there is really something wrong with our country's nursing educational system just like what Dean Josefina Tuazon of the UP College of Nursing said..
" We strongly believe that this incident is but a manifestation of the country’s deteriorating, highly commercialized nursing education -- the result of the proliferation of nursing schools and review centers." > wherein the owners of the nursing schools are also the owners of the review centers..
it only reflect of our country's educational system as a whole, which is also highly commercialized dahil hindi priority ng ating gobyerno ang education..
na sumasalamin sa maling systema ng ating gobyerno, just like one of its policies > importation of human resources because it can not provide just and decent jobs for its people, the reason why we leave our families so we can work abroad.
the least we can do is to organize ourselves and speak as one. hindi kayang alisin ang dumi ng isang tingting kundi pag-isahin ang mga tingting para maging walis tingting upang ito ang gamitin para magwalis ng dumi.

hello everyone.. napadaan lang ako dito.. i read some posts.. nakakatuwa and at the same time, a little bit disgusting.. i took the nursing exam too last June 2006 and like most of the people here who wanted to know the results of the exam to release their anxiety, i am too, have the same wishes...
its good to hear that most probably next week, the exam results would be release.. that would be very good so that everybody here would stop arguing for wanting to be heard and wanting to be understand...
in the end of this quest, and those who posted here.. those who swear at one or another would most probably thought that what they have done was no more right and they would have wished they have said something better...
i wish all the best to all the takers... may we all land in a good job.. a stable job that would help our family and would make us become a better person...
and i say that 'a good change would take longer, but still, when one makes a good move, that still will make a difference to everyone.. maybe not for you, not for me but in the near future, with our children to be and with our great great grand children...at least, somehow, we could say.. that we made a difference when we are still young...

-sino ba naman ang hindi maiinsecure, NATIONAL LICENSURE EXAM ang pinaguusapan not just a simple 1-10quiz.

-to hotsauce: wag mo sisihin ung 91 complainants. tama lang yung ginawa. ang sisihin mo,those people who keep on insisting that their review center is the best to the point of being involve with these BON members and asking them for a leakage.
-a friend told me that the night before the part 2 exam, they were given this leakage and guess what..
she saw that 80questions from the actual EXAM were the same as the leakage.
-the system sucks, mga mukang pera talaga PRC BON GAPUZ. oh and by the way, as for me, this incident wont degrade my "being a filipino" same as pacquaio's victory against his opponents wont improve who i am. wag nyo idikit yang sarili nyo sa iba,bka magkapalit kayo ng muka.
-btw,im not part of june batch 2006. i took the exam a year earlier.
-sa tingin ko mejo matatagalan pa yang case na yan,at if ever maresolve yan.. tsak magreretake kau ng NLE. sayang man ang panahon wala kayong magagawa. balita ko ban kayo ng 1 year for NLE. so probably by next june na ulit kayo makakakuha,cguro mga 50000 na kayo nun. LOL..

dapat ung review center ni GAPUZ ang ipasara,cla ang source eh. they need to be punished. probably kung reviewee k ni GAPUZ ang labas syo nun eh mabait c GAPUZ kasi para sa inyo ang aim nya eh "maipasa lahat ng reviewee nya" to the point of giving out leakages. kaya lang this time nahuli kayo eh, so suffer the consequences. mag iba na kayo ng name dahil tsak stigmatized na kayo sa mga susunod na graduates.

yung mga BON din, PARUSAHAN. naturingan pa namang mga MADRE kung tawagin, un pala mga mukang pera. kung hindi lang kayo mga lola baka napagbabatukan na kayo ng batch 2006.
at syempre ang mga tga PRC. mga mukang pera din.
BON PRC GAPUZ, 39000+ na buhay sinira nyo. kahit tig iisang pitik lang sa muka nyo nung 39000 na un pede na. tingnan natin kung hindi kayo ma knock out.
