President Arroyo Orders Retake of June 2006 Nurse Licensure Examinations

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo today ordered a retake of the controversial June 2006 Nurse Licensure Examination after meeting with her cabinet, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officials, the task force on national council on licensure examination (NCLEX), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).

Arroyo is also placing the PRC under the supervision of the DoLE following the alleged leakage.

The Labor Department and the PRC will meet on Thursday to decide whether to repeat all subjects or to limit the retake on the leaked subjects only.

GMA's stand for a retake is the height of HYPOCRISY. fact - not everyone who passed the nursing board cheated. i am one of those who passed through hard work and through honest means. by instituting retake you are not at all addressing the problem because you are punishing not culprits but the victims. RETAKE is not the answer!!!

hay naku!!!walang mareretake, kahit pa clang gumastos sa expenses, hindi sapat yun...saka anung sinasabi ni GMA na integridad kung sa gobyerno ntin, sa pangulo mismo ay wala...tama ba na tayo ang bayaran in order to save our country yet we, passers who passed the exam square and fair and sacrifice in order to passed the exam and get our licenses..It should not be taken away from us anymore..It is injustice..then why should the president changed her mind, it was told by her lately that not to punish the innocent then now, how come..it was dante ang who influenced her I guessed.. If the president insists her way for retake, then we should also have the right for the recount on the past president election..anu say nyo, mmga board passers??

Kayo pa kayang more than 20 thousand passers ang magpapabagsak sa kanya? heck no! She is very powerful and if she command she'll do it! I HAVE THE STRONG FEELINGS THAT SHE'S GOING TO KEEP her word that magkakaroon ng RETAKE!
