Update on VisaScreen Renewal Applications

The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) has updated the Application for VisaScreen® renewal. The updated form is available for download at this link and at the Pinoy R.N. Application Forms Section.

Healthcare professionals who have been previously issued VisaScreen® Certificates but have not adjusted their status or obtained a permanent U.S. visa are still required to renew their certificates within five years of the date it was issued.

Renewal applications must be done six months before the expiration of the VisaScreen® Certificate.

The cost for renewal is $250.

What if the VisaScreen Certificate will not be renewed on due date what will be the consequences?

The applicant with an expired VisaScreen will be treated like a new applicant.

This means that the applicant will need to re-submit all documents and will have to satisfy all the requirements of the VisaScreen again like retaking the IELTS exam.

So if the applicant hold the expired VisaScreen Certificate treated like a new applicant does it mean that he/she fill up the Application Form for the New Applicant not the Renewal Form?

No, the applicant will still use the renewal form.

So if the VisaScreen Certificate expired, should the applicants apply for a fresh Certificate? If not should you charge the applicant for a certain fee for late filing? How much?
