The PRC-Board of Nursing has issued an advisory reiterating that OR/DR case requirements for graduating nursing students remain at five (5) cases each.
According to the advisory released Friday, the board is still in the process of hearing the outputs from the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) gathered from the ADPCN convention last October 2008.
The board further stressed that should it implement any policy shift in the future, changes will not be retroactive and will only apply to student nurses enrolling in June of this year.
The clarification was made after the board learned that a number of nursing schools mistakenly announced the reduction of cases from five (5) to three (3) resulting to confusion among nursing students.
