The California Board of Registered Nursing will no longer accept applications lacking a U.S. social security number (SSN). This was announced recently by the board on its website.
California BRN Announcement on SSN - www.PinoyRN.net Before this announcement, applicants without U.S. social security numbers were still allowed to sit for the NCLEX exam. Only those who passed the exam were required to submit a U.S. SSN as a requirement for the issuance of their RN license.
Thanks to Mizuki for the heads up.
