CGFNS to Collect Order Processing Fee on Select Services

In a press release published Wednesday, the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS International) announced that beginning on January 1, 2007, an Order Processing Fee of $50 will be charged, in addition to the normal service fee.

CGFNS services covered by the additional fee include:

• VisaScreen^® Initial Certificate (valid for five years)
• VisaScreen^® Renewal Certificate
• Certification Program New Applicant - CGFNS Qualifying Exam, Credentials Review
• Credentials Evaluation Service Full Education Course-by-Course Report
• Credentials Evaluation Service Healthcare Profession & Science Course-by-Course Report
• Credential Verification Service for New York State (CVS)

It explained that the additional fee will cover energy and transportation costs as well as postal increases and electronic management of records to enhance secure transmission of documents.
