The two-day nurse licensure examination is underway in key cities around the country. 88,750 nursing graduates are set to take the first three sets of the 5-test licensure exams today. The two remaining tests are scheduled tomorrow.

Manila will be hosting close to half of the examinees with 40,310 candidates. Examinees from Baguio are the second biggest group with 13,460 exam takers. Davao City and Metro Cebu have 8,113 and 8,036 examinees, respectively.


The members of the Board of Nursing, tasked to prepare the questions for the nursing board exams, were placed on quarantine last November 19. Outside communication and contact have been cut-off with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) closely monitoring the group as part of the examination security protocol.


Nursing Board Exam Results are due to be released late January or early February next year.
It will be posted at Pinoy R.N. once it is made available by the Professional Regulation Commission - Board of Nursing.









This is to clarify the confusion on the schedule of the November 2008 Nurse Licensure Examination. According to information gathered by Pinoy R.N. from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Nursing Board Exam will be on November 29 and 30 (Saturday & Sunday).

Text messages have been spreading that the Nursing Board Exam has been moved to November 28 and 29. Other nursing sites have also posted the incorrect schedule without verifying its veracity. The supposed change in schedule is inaccurate and false. The confusion started when the PRC released the PRC Room Assignments bearing the incorrect schedule of the November 2008 Nursing Board Exam.

This inaccurate information has been rectified by the PRC. Pinoy R.N. has acquired the revised PRC Room Assignments bearing the correct schedule. It is posted below.

The nursing board exam on November 29-30, 2008 will be the biggest nursing board exam to date in terms of the volume of examinees according to information released by the PRC-Board of Nursing (BoN).

A record 88,750 nursing board examinees will be trooping to PRC testing centers in several cities around the country. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) have set up testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban, Lucena, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

With the unprecedented volume of nursing examinees this year, PRC-BoN member Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas said that he expects the nursing board exam results to be released in January or February next year.
