The Professional Regulation Commission - Board of Nursing (PRC-BoN) recently issued a memo amending its previous memo prescribing dress codes for examinees in the Nursing Board Exam.
In the new memo sent to PRC regional offices, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) and to Presidents and Deans of Nursing Schools, Colleges, and Universities -- Examinees to the November 2009 Nursing Board Exam are advised observe the following dress code when taking the licensure examination on November 29 and 30, 2009:
FEMALE: Clinical uniform with white shoes and white stockings but without nameplate, school insignia / logo, and pin OR School Uniform.
PREGNANT EXAMINEES: White clinical scrubsuit
MALE: Clinical uniform with white shoes and white socks but without nameplate, school insignia / logo, and pin OR School Uniform.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the availability of the PRC School, Building, and Room Assignments for the June 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE). The following document covers examinees who are registered with PRC Manila.
Nursing examinees from other cities are advised to visit the nearest PRC Regional Office for their room assignments.

Approximately 80,000 prospective nurses are set to take the two-day nurse licensure examination on June 6 and 7, 2009 according to information released by the Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Nursing.
Manila will be hosting close to half of the examinees with 42,338 examinees. Coming in second with the biggest number of examinees is Baguio with 11,336 examinees. Meanwhile, Board of Nursing member and spokesperson, Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas said that they will be going into quarantine today to ensure the integrity of the Nursing Board Exam.
The process will involve barring of outside contact and all forms of communication for all board members and PRC personnel involved in the preparation, encoding, and printing of the test questions. They will also be closely monitored by NBI and PNP personnel as part of test security protocol.
The June 2009 Nursing Board Exam is scheduled on June 6 and 7, 2009 and will be held simultaneously in several cities across the country.

The Professional Regulation Commission - Board of Nursing has rescheduled the date of the 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination.
Pursuant to Board of Nursing Resolution Number 2009-12, the bi-annual Nurse Licensure Examinations for this year will be reset to June 6 and 7 (Saturday-Sunday) and November 29 and 30 (Sunday-Monday).
Those who intend to take the November 2008 Nurse Licensure Examinations are reminded that the last day of filing for applications at the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will be on October 17, 2008 (Friday).
The November 2008 Nursing Board Exam is scheduled on November 29-30, 2008 (Saturday & Sunday).

With the expected rise of nursing graduates this year, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released a memo to nursing school presidents and college deans saying that nursing graduates of March 2008 will be taking the nurse licensure examination in November 2008. While those graduating in October of this year can take the nursing board exam on June 2009.
Those intending to take the June 1 and 2 nursing board exams this year are advised to complete their application at PRC on April 11, 2008. The deadline for the November 28 and 29 nursing board exams this year is October 17, 2008.
